BikerTribe is a GPS navigation and community application for motorcyclists, published by TurboMedia (hereinafter “we”, “our”).

For any questions regarding your personal data, you may write to us at the address above.


2. Purpose of this policy

This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you:

  • use the BikerTribe application;
  • visit our website;
  • interact with our online services (support, partners, etc.).

3. Data we collect

3.1 Data you provide to us

  • User account: email address, login identifier (Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple), name or username, profile photo where applicable
  • Rider profile: motorcycle type, riding style, preferences
  • Published content: spots, routes, chat messages, participation in communities and events
  • Emergency contacts (if you enable safety features)
  • Reports and feedback (bugs, support)

3.2 Automatically collected data

  • GPS location (real-time or one-time position) for navigation, display of spots, group rides, and certain safety features
  • Usage data: interactions with the app, pages viewed, crashes
  • Technical data: device model, operating system, app version, technical identifiers, IP address
  • Push notifications: notification token (if you authorize them)

3.3 Subscription-related data

If you subscribe to a paid offer:

  • purchase identifier, subscription status, renewal dates
  • Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not store your banking details.

3.4 Website data

When visiting https://bikertribe.fr/?btk_lang=en:

  • technical and session cookies (see section 10)
  • navigation data (pages visited, duration) via analytics tools where applicable
  • data submitted via contact forms

3.5 Camera

The application may use the camera solely to scan QR codes (e.g., event attendance), with your permission.

6. GPS location

BikerTribe uses your geographic location:

  • While in use: navigation, map, spots around you
  • In the background (if enabled): continuous navigation, group rides, certain safety alerts

You may refuse or revoke access to location in your device settings. Certain features will then no longer be available.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. Transfers outside the European Union

Certain providers (in particular Google / Firebase, Apple) may process data outside the EU (e.g., United States). These transfers are governed by standard contractual clauses or mechanisms recognized by the European Commission.

10. Cookies and trackers (website)

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures:

However, no transmission over the Internet is guaranteed to be 100% secure.

13. Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account from within the application (Profile / Settings) or by email. Deletion results in the erasure or anonymization of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.


14. Minors

BikerTribe is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data concerning minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, please contact us for deletion.


15. Changes

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date will be changed accordingly. In the event of a significant change, we will inform you via the application or website.
